AllGoodDrivers Education Foundation Scholarships

Did you know that even in today's increasingly dangerous driving environment there is a large percentage of teens who are driving without any formal driving education? In the past two decades, more and more schools have been cutting their classroom and behind the wheel driver education programs. In fact, we are not aware of any private or public schools that still offer free behind the wheel training. Today, too many teens are left without the opportunity to receive an education in driving simply because they cannot afford to pay a private driving school for it.

The DMV does not require any formal education for persons over the age 18. To spare themselves the expense of driving lessons, many of these teens are waiting until the age of 18 to get their licenses. This is adding to an ever-increasing population of uneducated drivers. Even worse, many of these teens are simply driving illegally, without a license, before they turn 18. The fines for driving without a license are less than what they would pay for behind the wheel training, in most cases. In the past, all teens received a free driving education regardless of whether or not they planned on waiting to turn 18.

We have been aware of this problem since we began as driving educators in the private sector over a decade ago, and it is only getting worse. We feel compelled to do something about it. Therefore, we are proud to announce the formation of the AllGoodDrivers Education Foundation, a non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to provide scholarships to families of teens in need. We are seeking foundation and government grants, as well as private donations to fill this need.

If you are chosen for a scholarship, we will work directly with the driving school of your choice so that you can be educated in safe driving.
